One of the highlights of the summit is the keynote address by Sara BinMansour, who presented on “Unlocking Saudi Arabia’s Fintech Potential: A Glimpse into Tomorrow.” Her perceptive discussion emphasised the crucial role of young minds in driving the future of fintech, aligning perfectly with the Fintech Future Summit’s belief in nurturing the next generation of innovators.
Additionally, Remo Giovanni Abbondandolo, General Manager MENA at Checkout.com, delivered a compelling session on “The State of Digital Commerce in Saudi 2024: A Tale of Rapid, Sustained Growth.” His insights highlighted the significant strides in digital transformation within the Kingdom, resonating with the summit’s overarching theme of fintech evolution.
Key sessions included “Cashless Kingdom: The Digital Payments Revolution in Saudi Arabia,” featuring Laurent Dhaeyer, Hadi S. Al Beshri, Meshal A. Alyahya, Abdullah Alassaf, and moderator Maya El Hajjieh. “Bridging the Gap: Fintech’s Role in Driving Financial Inclusion in Saudi Arabia” with Essam A. Albakr and moderator Hussain AlKharaji highlighted the crucial role of fintech in enhancing financial inclusion across the Kingdom.
“Faith and Finance: The Rise of Islamic Banking in Saudi Arabia,” presented by Nahim Y. Bassa, SVP Group Head of Strategy & Transformation at Bank Aljazira, discussed the growth and impact of Islamic banking in the region.
