Mr. Saeed Al-Kuwari is the Director of Hayya, operating under Qatar Tourism.
Before assuming his current role, Mr. Al-Kuwari held several senior positions at the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), where he played a key role in the successful delivery of the FIFA World Cup 2022TM.
As Director of Hayya Program Operations, he led the platform’s transformation into a central component of the tournament experience, enabling entry for millions of fans and providing integrated transport services, accommodation, and customer services solution, while supervising over 43 service centers and managing over 1000 employees.
Prior to joining the Supreme Committee, Mr. Al-Kuwari served at the Ministry of Interior, progressing from 2nd Lieutenant to Major. His experience was rooted in business IT rather than technical IIT, and his tenure saw significant advancements in security systems and identity management, including the development of biometric data systems, facial recognition technology, and Qatar’s e-gate infrastructure.
Mr. Al-Kuwari holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado and an Executive MBA from the University of Plymouth. He is also a member of the Hayya Permanent Committee.
