“Samsung TV Plus platform to launch soon in Saudi Arabia

Given the significant advancements in television broadcasting technologies worldwide and Samsung’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions to its customers, Samsung Saudi Arabia has announced the launch of its free television streaming service through its platform installed on Samsung TVs, named Samsung TV Plus.

The Samsung TV Plus platform began in South Korea in 2015 and has since expanded gradually to Europe, North America, Australia, and India, now reaching the Middle East market. The service has been initially launched in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and the United Arab Emirates, with plans for further expansion across the region.

Hendrik Lee, President of Samsung Saudi Arabia, commented: “Televisions and smartphones have become primary sources of entertainment, sports, and even general information content. We have observed strong consumer interest in platforms offering such content, prompting us to introduce Samsung TV Plus for our customers in the Kingdom. Simultaneously, we are working to add more channels and programs to the platform to offer a diverse spectrum of content that satisfies all our customers in the Kingdom.”

Samsung TV Plus offers viewers a variety of channels without any monthly subscription. Samsung collaborates with several prominent Middle Eastern channels, including Shahid, the first Arabic platform to offer video-on-demand services in the Middle East, featuring exclusive series, a wide range of movies, sports, and children’s entertainment programs. Additionally, the platform includes live broadcasts from a selection of Arabic television channels and the G Entertainment platform.

In addition to its Middle East launch, Samsung plans to roll out Samsung TV Plus in three Southeast Asian countries later this year, including Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines.”
