Lulu Explore Australia Launches over 10 New Aussie Brands for Saudi Shoppers

The Australian Ambassador to KSA, H.E. Mark Donovan launched LuLu Hypermarket’s Australia Week shopping festival yesterday at LuLu Hypermarket, The Roof, Yasmin.

The grand showcase of over 93 top Australian brands which include 10 all-new food brands from Down Under – ice creams, coffees and pasta sauces – will give shoppers an opportunity to add a new and tasty spin to their meals.

Ambassador Donovan was greeted with a ‘Purple Carpet’ welcome and Director of LuLu Hypermarkets KSA, Mr. Shehim Mohammed and senior management greeted him upon arrival. During his tour of the hypermarket, the Ambassador and LuLu management unveiled and examined the impressive product wall of Australian brands and a cake-cutting ceremony took place before this product wall.

The Australia Week continues till 25th October across all LuLu hypermarkets in KSA On special promotional sale at extraordinary special prices will be all that Australia is famous for: juicy cuts of Australian meat (the Australian meat industry is a leading exporter of prime cuts of red meat to Saudi Arabia), an amazing variety of fruits and vegetables and dairy products – especially cheeses, butter and milk. Frozen foods such as oriental vegetable mix, berries and prepared meat snacks, organic honey and biscuits will join 93 specialty food brandss to tempt shoppers.

There will also be ten new food brands from Australia that will make their shelf debut during the festival and these include ice creams, coffee and pasta sauces.

“Australia is an active partner in underpinning the food security plan of Saudi Arabia and we are happy to work with the LuLu Group to highlight the excellent range of products that come from Down Under,” said Ambassador Donovan, “We have particularly close ties with Saudi Arabia and the Australian Meat & Livestock Association (MLA)  and the dairy industry are especially active here. This Australian Week at Lulu is a great way for lovers of hearty Aussie food ingredients to experiment with the finest foods from our country.”

Director of Lulu Saudi Hypermarkets, Mr. Shehim Mohammed said the festival was part of the Hypermarket’s successful efforts to cater to all nationalities.
