“Sadia” Supports disadvantaged families with SAR 923,000 via “Etaam” – Saudi Food Bank

For the third consecutive year, Sadia keeps partnering with Saudi Food Bank “Etaam” by supporting disadvantaged families and reaching more beneficiaries in collaboration with key strategic retail partners across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Last Thursday Mr. Abdullateef Al Rajhi, “Etaam” Board Chairman received cash support amounting to around SAR 1 million from the “Together, Goodness Flourish” campaign; whereby Sadia donated the equivalent of 2.5% of their sales value in major retailers across Saudi Arabia.  
“Etaam” received the support in an event sponsored by Eng. Fahad Al Jubair, Eastern Region Mayor and attended by Sadia’s General Manager Mr. Matheus Leao, key retail partners, media and officials operating in philanthropic domain in the Kingdom.
 
Mr. Fahad highlighted that philanthropy is one of the key pillars of Vision 2030, and that philanthropic organizations along with private sector companies have gone far on this front in line with government guidelines and directions. Al Jubair highlighted that collaboration between Sadia and “Etaam” led to support of hundreds of thousands of beneficiaries and promoted professional ways to reach them.  
 
Sadia’s General Manager Mr. Matheus Leao celebrated the success of “Together, Goodness Flourish” campaign as well as Sadia’s commitment to social responsibility and contribution to philanthropy that characterizes the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ambition to promote tolerance, compassion, and solidarity. 
 
 
 
 
 
Leao valued cooperation with “Etaam” to realize social solidarity in a holistic approach and convey food surplus to disadvantaged people in a professional manner.
Believing in philanthropy and social responsibility, Sadia and “Etaam” launched “Together, Goodness Flourish” to promote sustainable development by providing meals for more than 400,000 beneficiaries in 2021 and create nationwide public awareness of food surplus issue and the importance of eradicating it.
 
Mr. Abulateef Al Rajhi, “Etaam” Board Chairman highly appreciated Sadia’s role in supporting philanthropy across the Kingdom by helping the disadvantaged families. He said that Ramadan 1442/2021 campaign reached large number of eligible beneficiaries, promoted philanthropic culture by motivating people to deliver more creative ideas to realize “Etaam “objectives to support the most disadvantaged people and eventually reach food security objective.
