VCPEA Membership Surpasses SAR 100 Billion in Assets Under Management as Association Expands Support for Investment Ecosystem

The Saudi Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (VCPEA) today announced that its member network has officially surpassed more than SAR 100 billion in assets under management. The milestone reflects VCPEA’s work to help strengthen the Kingdom’s investment landscape through policy engagement, professional development, industry research and ecosystem collaboration, in line with Vision 2030

In 2025, VCPEA welcomed more than 20 new members, bringing its community to more than 70 local members alongside a growing international membership. The Association’s work is structured around three core roles: Enable, Develop and Connect, designed to ease regulatory friction, build market capability and bring the investment community together around shared priorities. Through Connect, VCPEA brings the investment community together through events, seminars and workshops to inform, engage and align perspectives. In 2025, the Association hosted more than 25 events, bringing together over 3,500 participants, including investors, fund managers, entrepreneurs, policymakers and ecosystem leaders, supporting strategic engagement within the sector and beyond

Through Enable, VCPEA works to understand the regulatory landscape, market realities and investment ecosystem needs, using research, benchmarks and policy-oriented studies to help ease regulatory friction and facilitate access to growth. As part of its ongoing engagement with regulators and industry stakeholders, the Association has contributed to discussions around initiatives including simplified investment fund structures, international licensing frameworks, Capital Market Institution requirements, Zakat collection rules and SPAC-related regulations. These efforts support a more transparent and accessible market for local and international investors

Through Develop, VCPEA provides member services, training programmes, reports and resources designed to strengthen professional capability and address market requirements and skill gaps. Throughout 2025, the Association published four flagship industry reports covering impact investing, employee incentive frameworks, structured liquidity mechanisms and exit infrastructure. It also delivered seven specialised training programmes, supporting more than 225 fund management professionals with practical knowledge and technical expertise tailored to the needs of Saudi Arabia’s venture capital and private equity community

“Saudi Arabia’s venture capital and private equity ecosystem continues to evolve as Vision 2030 drives sustained collaboration between government, investors and industry,” said Qusai Al Saif, CEO of VCPEA. “At VCPEA, we are committed to supporting that progress by addressing barriers to growth, strengthening industry capability and creating platforms for dialogue and knowledge sharing. Together, these efforts are helping build a more connected and accessible investment environment where capital and innovation can continue to grow.”

VCPEA’s continued efforts come amid broader acceleration in venture capital activity across MENA. According to MAGNiTT’s FY 2025 State of Venture Capital in MENA, regional funding grew 74% year on year to a record high of more than USD 3 billion. Within that expansion, Saudi Arabia maintained its position as MENA’s leading venture capital market for the third consecutive year, attracting USD 1.7 billion across 257 transactions in 2025, according to the FY 2025 Saudi Arabia Venture Capital Report, published by MAGNiTT in collaboration with Saudi Venture Capital Company (SVC)

Building on this momentum, VCPEA is expanding its professional development initiatives through a series of high-impact programs that bring leading international instructors to Saudi Arabia. Together with its policy engagement, research and convening work, these initiatives form part of VCPEA’s broader contribution to a more capable, connected and accessible investment ecosystem, helping support the continued growth and maturity of the Kingdom’s venture capital and private equity sector
