Samsung Brings Call Screening to Arabic, Reinforcing Its Commitment to Galaxy AI Built for the Region

Samsung Electronics MENA today announced that Call Screening, one of Galaxy AI’s handiest everyday tools, is now available in Arabic on supported Galaxy devices. Galaxy users across the region can now have unknown callers screened in their own language. It’s a meaningful step in Samsung’s wider commitment to building AI that actually works for this region.
Call Screening gives users a smarter way to handle calls from unknown numbers. Instead of guessing who the caller is and whether to answer, users see the conversation unfold as a live transcript on screen, with Galaxy AI greeting the caller, asking who they are and why they’re calling, and relaying their responses. The user stays fully in control, empowered to easily filter out spam and unimportant calls. With the addition of Arabic language support, Call Screening now understands and responds in the language hundreds of millions use across the region as their primary means of communication.
The significance of this goes beyond convenience. Across MENAPT, Arabic rivals English as the most common language people set on their phones, making it essential that Galaxy AI features work natively in Arabic to serve the millions of people who rely on it across the region.
This launch reflects a philosophy Samsung has long championed, narrowing the distance between the global capabilities of AI and the real, everyday needs of the people who use it. Since first introducing Galaxy AI in Arabic, Samsung has remained committed to ensuring each feature feels authentically regional rather than merely translated, and Call Screening stands as the latest expression of that vision.
“We believe the most powerful AI is the kind you barely notice, working in the background to make everyday moments easier,” said [Name], [Title], Samsung Electronics MENA. “That’s exactly what Call Screening does. It takes a friction point and quietly removes it. Adding Arabic language support is a testament to our wider belief that technology should adapt to people and the way they live, not the other way around.”
Localization is not a one-time effort for Samsung, but an ongoing commitment. Supporting Arabic in Call Screening adds to a growing set of Galaxy AI features designed specifically for the region, and it points to a future where the most advanced AI experiences are also the most relevant ones for users across the MENA region.
Call Screening in Arabic has already rolled out to users on One UI 8.5 or newer. It is available on the Galaxy S26 series, Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy TriFold, and Galaxy Tab S11,[1] as well as the Galaxy S25 FE, Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, Galaxy Z Flip6, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Tab S10.[2]
