HONOR Partners with King Saud University (KSU) to Empower AI Innovation in Saudi Arabia

The AI Club supported by HONOR Shapes Saudi Arabia’s Next Generation of AI Innovators

 

(12th February 2025, Riyadh-KSA) In line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and its strategic focus on artificial intelligence (AI), HONOR has partnered with King Saud University to establish AI Club supported by HONOR. This collaboration is a significant step toward fostering artificial intelligence (AI) development among Saudi students and helping shape the next generation of tech talent in the Kingdom.

This collaboration reflects HONOR’s ongoing commitment to advancing AI technologies and fostering innovation in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.” Ms. Penny Diao, CMO of HONOR Middle East & Africa “Through the AI Club supported by HONOR, we aim to provide students with the skills and opportunities needed to shape the future of AI in the region.” 

Training Programs: Advancing AI and Data Analysis

The AI Club supported by HONOR will offer a series of training programs focused on AI and data analysis, where students can participate in technical workshops designed to test HONOR’s latest technologies. These programs will be aimed at improving user experiences in Saudi Arabia, focusing on developing AI technologies that cater to the local language, culture, and specific needs.

“This partnership with HONOR marks an important step toward advancing AI education in Saudi Arabia.” Dr Ali Aldalbahi, Dean of Student Affairs, King Saud University. “By providing our students with the tools, resources, and international exposure, we are preparing them to be leaders in AI and technology, contributing to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its goal to become a global hub for innovation.”

Joint Projects: Tailoring AI to Local Needs

As part of the collaboration, HONOR will co-develop practical AI applications that address the specific needs of the Saudi market. One of the key focuses will be the development of AI solutions for Arabic language processing. Additionally, students will work on machine learning tools that will support the creation of smart systems. These joint projects will bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world application.

International Visits: Exposing Students to AI Research Abroad

To further enhance the students’ knowledge and exposure to AI, the partnership will offer international visits to HONOR’s headquarters in China. During these trips, students will have the unique opportunity to explore the latest research in AI, smart devices, and technological innovations. They will be able to engage directly with HONOR’s research teams, attend
