Through his global experience, he\nworked with government agencies, financial institutions, and telecommunications\ncompanies providing security and risk management solutions and expertise.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Omar\nhighlighted the importance of the timing of the conference, which will be held\nin Riyadh on Sept. 6-7, 2022, as it coincides with an unprecedented surge in\ncyberattacks targeting the infrastructure of many countries posing a threat to\n12 vital infrastructure sectors. Any potential damage to these sectors will\nhave devastating effects on the economy, health, safety, and security of\ncountries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">The conference will tackle a wide range of topics under the main\ntheme, including Artificial intelligence for a flexible and efficient energy\nindustry, digital transformation, smart cities, threats and risks facing the\nsupply chain and how to confront them, cyber resilience, business continuity,\ndisaster recovery, and safe artificial intelligence in public safety,\nhealthcare, cloud security, and third-party risk analysis in addition to, cyber\nsecurity integration of critical IT infrastructure, Operational Technologies\n(OT), and the Internet of Things (IoT). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Omar expressed his expectation that the conference would support\nthe protection of critical infrastructure, as well as enhance cooperation\nbetween stakeholders.&nbsp; He said this\nyear\u2019s MENAISC2022 will spotlight ways of achieving and increasing the\nresilience of infrastructure and its ability to adapt to changing conditions so\nthat they are able to withstand and recover in the event of a cyberattack. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe resilience and security of critical infrastructure depends on\ncooperation between stakeholders.&nbsp; The\nconference will encourage the facilitation of this cooperation between stakeholders,\nallowing free communication between them and the sharing of reliable\ninformation.&nbsp;&nbsp; Enhancing the security and\nresilience of critical infrastructure requires equitable representation and\nparticipation of relevant stakeholders from all sectors,\u201d the CEO added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Omar add that Saudi Arabia National Cybersecurity Authority has\nalready played an important role of protecting the infrastructure from\ncyberattacks and has been the catalyst for improved security awareness and\ninvestments in the cybersecurity.
