The airport received the \u2018Best Airport\u2019 award in the International Airports category (+15 million passengers), the \u2018Best Security Inspection Area\u2019 and the \u2018Best Customs Inspection Area\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">KKIA\nwas granted the awards during RAC\u2019s participation in the first edition of the Future\nAviation Forum, which was held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two\nHoly Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz and hosted by GACA, the General\nAuthority of Civil Aviation, on 9 &#8211; 11 May 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">On the\nsidelines of the Forum, RAC signed four agreements with major international\ncorporations and national institutions to improve the quality and efficiency of\nits services through utilizing innovative solutions to promote sustainability\nand growth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">The\ncompany signed a memorandum of understanding with DAA to\nexplore investment opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa. It also\nsigned a strategic partnership with Accenture in Saudi Arabia to provide innovative\ncybersecurity services to enhance the protection of its digital assets,\noperational systems, and infrastructure at KKIA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">RAC\nsigned a further agreement with the international firm SITA to develop and\nimprove passenger onboarding systems and upgrade KKIA\u2019s infrastructure with the\nlatest advanced technologies. Finally, the company signed a memorandum of\nunderstanding with the Saudi Academy of Civil Aviation to provide training\nprograms for employees to maximize compliance with international and local\nstandards and improve services provided by the operational sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Eng. Muhammad bin Abdullah\nAl-Maghlouth, CEO of RAC, also took part in a panel discussion titled \u2018Airports\nReimagined\u2019, during which participants discussed the new global trends for the\ndevelopment of the aviation sector. The discussions took place as airports and\nrelevant authorities worldwide are working to restore the air transport network\nand boost traveler confidence in the post-COVID pandemic phase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We are honored to have been a part of the Future Aviation\nForum and are delighted to have received three awards recognizing the standards\nof excellence that we work to maintain at KKIA. This is a new milestone for us\nat KKIA, and I would like to congratulate all KKIA employees on their efforts\nin helping us take home these awards,\u201d said Eng.
