{"id":49284,"date":"2022-04-25T15:54:25","date_gmt":"2022-04-25T12:54:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.indexeconomic.com\/?p=49284"},"modified":"2022-04-25T15:54:26","modified_gmt":"2022-04-25T12:54:26","slug":"lulu-supports-ksa-charities-with-zakat-collection-rice-donations-and-iftar-boxes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/indexeconomic.com\/?p=49284","title":{"rendered":"LULU SUPPORTS KSA CHARITIES  WITH ZAKAT COLLECTION RICE DONATIONS and IFTAR BOXES"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">LuLu\nHypermarkets in Saudi Arabia have joined multiple charities in the region to\nhelp customers to fulfill the most pious and important duty of Zakat Al Fitr \u2013\ndonations prescribed in the Holy Koran to be given during the Holy Month of\nRamadan.&nbsp; The arrangement is a continuation\nof a cherished tradition at LuLu which enables the public to contribute their\nZakat effectively, swiftly, and transparently to the Alber Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Every LuLu Hypermarket in the area is\npart of the agreement with the Masaie and Qoutof in Riyadh, Alfaisaliah Charity\nin Jeddah, and Alber Association in Eastern Province. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">LuLu has arranged a dedicated area in\nits stores in Riyadh &amp; Jeddah, for customers to donate rice and on the day\nbefore Eid, the charity associations will distribute the rice to the needy\npeople. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">In Eastern Province, LuLu customers can\npay SAR 21 as Zakat during checkout or online and even as a bank transfer\ndirectly to the program account. Alber Association will channel it in the form\nof a bag of rice which will then be distributed by Alber to needy families on\nbehalf of the Zakat payer.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\nare honored to be a channel for this auspicious spiritual duty of Zakat and\nhave been receiving the donations from the first day of the Holy Month,\u201d said\nShehim Mohammed LuLu\u2019s Director of Saudi Arabia. \u201cThe system is convenient, transparent,\nand accessible to all. Zakat shall continue to be received till the night of\nEid Al Fitr.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, LuLu has introduced the <strong>Ramadan Box and Iftar meal<\/strong> in collaboration with Saudi Food Bank.\u00a0 The LuLu Iftar boxes are convenient packs of after-fasting essential meals that customers can buy for SAR 15 &amp; 99 SAR each.
