Zain, Zain eSports, and PLAYHERA plan to invest more than&nbsp; SR 375 million over the upcoming five years;\nthe newly established JV will have Riyadh as its headquarters and go after\nMENA\u2019s lucrative gaming market with an estimated 100 million gamers across the\nregion. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">PLAYHERA MENA plans to rapidly diversify its\noffering to gamers by incorporating new technologies leveraging Zain\u2019s\ninfrastructure and PLAYHERA\u2019s interactive platforms. This multi-featured gaming\nsocial hub helps all industry stakeholders to come together and engage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">The exclusive agreement for the JV that was\nsigned by Zain KSA CEO, Eng. Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Degaither, and PLAYHERA\nCEO, Naif Mulaeb, will enable the newly established entity to enrich the gaming\necosystem through providing a platform for gaming content creators and offering\nvalue-added services to gamers such as high-rewarding tournaments, cloud games,\nexclusive entertainment content, and an online store while providing industry\naccess to sponsors and investors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are\nexcited to establish this new venture that will turn into a regional powerhouse\nin the gaming and e-Sports sector with Riyadh as its headquarters,\u201d said Eng.\nSultan bin Abdulaziz Al-Degaither, adding that \u201cin Zain, we consider the\ndigital generation of the Kingdom and across the region, our core segment as we\ncontinuously address their needs and provide them with the latest technologies\nand access to services that match their requirements, especially when it comes\nto the tech-savvy gamers.\u201d&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">From his side, Naif Mulaeb added that\nPLAYHERA \u201care pleased to sign this agreement, which will enable us to push our\noffering for the Middle East and North Africa region with distinguished\nservices to gamers such as gaming tournaments, cloud games, exclusive content,\nand e-commerce. We are proud to be a Saudi brand that has gone global and has a\npresence in some major markets,\u201d adding that \u201cwe will continue to work to\nencourage individuals and interested companies to enter this field and benefit\nfrom our platform that gives them solid access to the whole esports industry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Zain Group\u2019s Chief Investment &amp; Digital\nOfficer Malek Hammoud added that this agreement \u201cThe Middle East is one of the\nfastest-growing gaming regions in the world and we are keen to unlock the\npotential of aspiring gamers of the region to compete on the global stage. This\nJV reconfirms the momentum being gathered in gaming, and Zain Esports aims to\nfoster the growth of the esports ecosystem in the region and beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">With its fast growth, PLAYHERA already has\n150,000 actively engaged gamers on its platform. It plans to expand its\npresence on the regional and international levels to be an industry platform\nthat serves all stakeholders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Zain Esports\u2019 presence as a gaming\npowerhouse engaging with the gamers and youth across the region is creating an\necosystem that reduces reliance on traditional telco services and opens growing\nopportunities for fast-growing and lucrative digital services and online\ngaming.
