On\nOctober 25, 2021, the Central Election Commission announced the preliminary\nresults of the Presidential elections of the Republic of Uzbekistan.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In this\nregard, the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople \u2013 the Liberal\nDemocratic Party of Uzbekistan held an event at Humo Arena Complex. Activists\nand supporters of the party took part in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Participants\nwatched the online broadcast of the press conference of the Central Election\nCommission dedicated to the preliminary results of the elections. According to\npreliminary results, Shavkat Miromonovich Mirziyoyev won the Presidential\nelections, gaining 80.1 percent votes in the elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to\nthe CEC, Maksuda Vorisova from the People\u2019s Democratic Party received 6.6% of\nthe vote, Alisher Kodirov from the \u201cMilliy tiklanish\u201d Democratic Party \u2013 5.5%,\nNarzulla Oblomuradov from the Ecological Party \u2013 4.1% and Bahrom Abdukhalimov\nfrom the Social Democratic Party \u201cAdolat\u201d \u2013 3.4%. Central Election Commission\nsaid that all ballots have been counted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The voting\nbecame a reflection of the broad support of the people for the course of\nreforms and transformations, the results of which are clearly felt in our\nlives, the embodiment of the confidence of our citizens in the future. Over the\npast five years, unprecedented large-scale work has been carried out under the\nleadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The spirit of updates has reached every\nsphere. In accordance with the Action Strategy for five priority areas of\ndevelopment of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021, the most important\nadministrative, legal and economic reforms were implemented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During this\nperiod, the country’s economy grew by 24 percent, industry by 34 percent,\nexports increased by 1.5 times, the volume of foreign investment by 3 times.\nThe country’s gross domestic product has reached $60 billion. The average\nmonthly salary increased 2.2 times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Large-scale\nopportunities have been created for the development of regions, the expansion\nof industry and the service sector. Hundreds of enterprises and factories,\nthousands of new jobs have appeared. Large-scale construction and landscaping\nactivity was carried out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Practical\neffectiveness, human interests are put at the forefront of reforms. Socially\noriented programs have been implemented. Much attention was paid to the\ndevelopment of science, education, healthcare, culture and art, mass media and\nsports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On the eve\nof the elections, the New Uzbekistan strategy was developed and designed to consistently continue this work,\nbring the development of the country and the life of our people to a new level.\nVoters were widely informed about the goals and content of the program during\npre-election meetings, and citizens believed in the success of the strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Speaking at\nthe event, Shavkat Mirziyoyev thanked our people for the trust placed in him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe trust\nof our great people is a great happiness for me! I express my deep gratitude to\nall my fellow party members, our young people, dear mothers and fathers for the\nhigh trust and support they have shown me. This trust gives me strength. And at\nthe same time, I feel with all my heart how much responsibility this is\u201d,\nShavkat Mirziyoyev said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was noted\nthat in these troubled times, many difficult trials have to be overcome, and\nour people, united, with their inherent diligence and dedication, achieve\ntremendous success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe have\npassed any kind of trials in the last five years! They hardened us. Brought us\ncloser together. We are united. Today the world has seen again what a united\npeople are capable of\u201d, the President said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It was\nemphasized that the Presidential elections, held for the first time based on\nthe Election Code, were held in the spirit of democracy, openly and publicly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cObservers\ncame from many countries, major international organizations. They could visit\nany polling station of their choice and see the created conditions, making sure\nthat our people are not indifferent to the future. They actively participated\nin the elections, came to vote together with their families. This testifies to\nthe spirit, mood and political culture of our people. At meetings, people make\nrelevant proposals for each area, city or district. Criticism also sounds. This\nis also the result of the fact that our lives have changed, democratic reforms\nare being carried out. I want to say again: there is no way back. Now\nUzbekistan will only move forward\u201d, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Head of\nthe state thanked all foreign and local observers, members of the Central\nElection Commission, district and precinct election commissions, and media\nrepresentatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He also\nexpressed gratitude to the candidates who participated in the Presidential\nelections from other political parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThey also\nstrive to develop Uzbekistan. Therefore, we will take into account their\nproposals in our program, which our people liked. Yesterday we were\ncompetitors, but now we need to act as a single fist. We will all build a\nNew Uzbekistan together\u201d, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation\nOrganization noted that the Presidential elections in Uzbekistan were held at a\nhigh political, legal and organizational level. He emphasized the active\ninvolvement of the population in the electoral process. According to him, the\nelections were organized in full compliance with international standards and\nnorms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In addition,\nHead of the Observer Mission from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)\nAnisul Haq congratulated the Uzbek people on their participation in the\npresidential elections, as well as the Central Election Commission of\nUzbekistan on the excellent organization of this event. \u00abEveryone knows that,\naccording to the OIC Charter, the organization has a mandate to work towards\nupholding the values of democracy, human rights and women’s rights. Of course,\nthis implies the full expression of freedom of opinion, speech and choice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Uzbekistan\nis an important country for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the\nmechanism of cooperation between the OIC and Uzbekistan is of key importance\nfor it. The OIC presidential election observation mission, which sent to\nUzbekistan, is a testament to our high level of cooperation. OIC observers\nconsist from Bangladesh, Iraq, Indonesia and Cameroon representatives. This\nmission was aimed at assessing the various stages of the electoral process in\norder to establish whether there is compliance with the Constitution of the\nRepublic of Uzbekistan, the national electoral legislation in general and, of\ncourse, international norms and standards. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Mr. Anisul\nHaq made a commitment to observe the principles of election observation, which\naccepted at the international level, and we carried out our work in accordance\nwith these principles.
