DUBAI, UAE \u2013 [11th May, 2026] \u2013 Sony Middle East and Africa (Sony MEA) has successfully completed its Solar Power Energy Project with a project capacity of 391.2 kWp, at its regional headquarters located in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), Dubai, marking a significant step in advancing its sustainability agenda and reinforcing its long-standing presence in the United Arab Emirates.<\/p>\n
The solar installation is expected to offset approximately 40% of the facility\u2019s total energy consumption, contributing to an estimated reduction of 235 metric tons of CO\u2082 emissions annually. Over its projected 25-year lifecycle, the initiative will support Sony\u2019s broader environmental goals and contribute to ongoing efforts toward a low-carbon future.<\/p>\n
The project aligns with Sony\u2019s global environmental plan, Road to Zero, which aims to achieve a zero environmental footprint by 2050, as well as its medium-term Green Management 2030 targets. It also supports the UAE\u2019s national sustainability agenda and ongoing solar energy initiatives.<\/p>\n
