\nAs digital transformation accelerates across the region, data center capacity continues to expand at scale. According to the Goldman Sachs report \u201cHow AI Is Transforming Data Centers and Ramping Up Power Demand\u201d (August 29, 2025), industry estimates indicate that advanced compute workloads are expected to increase their share of the data center market from 13% to 28% by 2027, highlighting the growing need for infrastructure that is scalable, reliable, and efficient in energy use.
\nDuring the discussion, participants highlighted the importance of closer alignment between hyperscalers, developers, and technology vendors to accelerate readiness for next-generation data center deployments. The role of modular designs and prefabricated systems was emphasized as a key enabler in reducing construction timelines and improving delivery certainty.
\nRepresenting Schneider Electric on the panel, Mourad Younes, C&SP Senior director, Schneider Electric MEA, and, Ahmed GamalEldin, Secure Power Vice President, Schneider Electric KSA, Pakistan, Yemen, and Bahrain, spoke about ongoing innovations in power and cooling technologies, including liquid cooling solutions, which are increasingly required to support higher-density workloads. The discussion also underscored the growing importance of harmonized standards, regulatory coordination, and talent development to support sustainable sector growth. Investment models and risk-sharing mechanisms were also cited as critical factors in accelerating project execution and reducing time-to-market for large-scale data center developments.
