The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Riyadh hosted a grand dinner reception on November 6, 2025, to celebrate the National Foundation Day of the Republic of Korea, welcoming approximately 730 guests, including ambassadors from various countries, members of the Korean community, and Saudi business representatives with an interest in Korean culture and products.
\nThe event was honored by the attendance of Faisal bin Abdul Aziz Al Sudairi, Undersecretary of Riyadh Region, who participated as the guest of honor. His presence underscored the growing partnership and mutual respect between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Korea.
\nIn his welcoming remarks, Ambassador Moon Byung-jun, Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires ad interim, expressed sincere appreciation for the strong bilateral relationship and looked forward to continued collaboration between the two nations.
\n\u201cThe Republic of Korea and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have steadily deepened their ties through cooperation in various sectors, including culture, trade, and innovation,\u201d Ambassador Moon said. \u201cWe hope this event serves as another bridge to strengthen our friendship and mutual understanding.\u201d
\nThe event featured a rich cultural and culinary program.
\nA special Korean Agri-Food Tasting Zone, organized under the initiative of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA), presented visitors with Halal-certified Hanwoo beef, premium Korean fruits such as Shine Muscat grapes and Korean pears, and a variety of red ginseng and ginseng-based health products.
\nSeveral Saudi-based influencers were also invited to experience and share the authentic flavors of Korea with a wider audience, reflecting the rising popularity of K-Food and Korean cultural trends across the Middle East.
