As a business they had to implement many changes very\nquickly, keeping the health and safety of their employees and customers at the\ncentre of all they did, as well as dealing with the ever changing import and\ndistribution landscape that came with new laws and regulations. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These changes resulted in Kibsons delivery promises being longer than\nusual during lock down as same day and next day delivery moved to 5 days and 7\ndays. Throughout Kibsons made sure they regularly communicated with their\ncustomers and they have been so grateful for everyone\u2019s patience and\nunderstanding throughout the past months as we all adjusted to what is the new\nnormal. &nbsp;The good news is they\u2019re now\nback to the same free same day delivery that we\u2019re all come to love and expect,\nalong with the freshest, most premium quality fresh produce at their usual\nincredibly affordable prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1170\" height=\"700\" src=\"http:\/\/www.indexeconomic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/24-2-1170x700.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10630\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>What Kibsons have done for their customers:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Kibsons remained committed in their price promise and to offering\naffordability to customers and did not increase any prices, even when their own\noperational costs increase due to extra processes and costs of international\nlogistics.&nbsp; They are fierce advocates of\nfair pricing and are against those seeking to profit from the COVID-19 crisis. <\/li><li>Kibsons have ensured that there is availability of household staples and\nother high demand products at all times.<\/li><li>Capacity for grocery delivery has been increased as quickly as possible\nand is now almost four times what it was, with new delivery vehicles and\nemployees being brought into the business. <\/li><li>New payment processes were implemented with upfront online payment\nrequired on all orders to prevent cancelled or turned away deliveries and the\nloss of important delivery slots. <\/li><li>Contactless delivery and payment was implemented to reduce contact\nbetween customers and employees. <\/li><li>Cleaning and sanitisation was enhanced at the Kibsons headquarters and\nin all their vehicles. <\/li><li>All customer care emails and enquiries were handled within 24 hours,\noften within 2 hours.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>What Kibsons have done for their employees:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Kibsons consider their employees their family and as such their health\nand safety is their primary concern, as like everyone else they are extremely\nvulnerable to COVIID-19. Kibsons acted quickly and updated all their\noperational processes with employees wellbeing at the heart of them. <\/li><li>All employees were provided with personal protective gear, including\nmasks and gloves and received daily temperature checks. <\/li><li>Kibsons created designated areas in their employee accommodation and\nfacilities for those who test positive to COVID-19. Thankfully they have not had\nto use them. <\/li><li>They created <strong>more <\/strong><strong>than 400 new <\/strong><strong>jobs<\/strong> since March and are still adding more to help meet the increasing demand.\n<\/li><li>Kibsons <strong>increased pay for their employees<\/strong> and gave all a <strong>40%<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>bonus<\/strong> in addition to benefits for the overtime hours worked.<\/li><li>They added a function to their website allowing customers to leave a tip\nwhich was allocated to the specific packer and driver of the order, giving\nstaff a further boost to their pay packet. <strong>Over 100k AED per month<\/strong> is\nreceived in tips and distributed directly to staff.
